In conclusion:

p.s. I honestly didn't realize that I made all of these black and white until after I was finished! I think I like it though!

Joplin Relief

Hello friends!

I know that many of us have been affected by the devastating tornado that struck Joplin Missouri this past Sunday.  In an effort to give back, I will be donating all of my profits from prints sold to the American Red Cross!  I will have this going on until Saturday, June 11th.

I will also be teaming up with MauraDawn Photography in attempts to give to the Joplin community.  We will be holding charity shoots this June 8th and 9th from 8am until 10am, then 3pm until 6pm.  Each session will be $50 for thirty minutes, with CD's sold separately at the same price.  All of the proceeds will go to the Joplin Relief Effort.

Please book now and help us give to the Joplin community!

Thursday

{serafini wedding} - reception

I have recently been learning that one has to make do with what they have.  To perfect something with what is right in front of you, then it can only get better when more resources are available.  The process of acquiring all of the needed equipment for photography is a long and very expensive one!!  For the weddings that I am have been shooting, I have been lucky enough to have been able to borrow a camera and lenses from a few very good/generous friends.  So for this wedding I used a friends Nikon D300 with a 50mm, 11mm - 16mm, and a 70mm - 200mm.  However, I did not have a flash.  I tried to get as much as I could without totally blowing out the photos with a super high ISO!

here is what came of it:

Wednesday

{serafini wedding} - bride

Happy wednesday everyone!  Although I didn't get too many photos of Ellen during the day, since I was with the guys for most of the time, I wanted to post the few things I do have!  I am really excited/anxious to have my own wedding because I want to get those really sweet shots of the bride.

enjoy:

Tuesday

{serafini wedding} - groom

The guys were a lot of fun to shoot, and were super laid back!  Their suits were so sweet.  As one of the groomsmen gifts, Ted bought all his guys ties from j crew.  I got some good shots of the ties and I am jealous of them.  Maybe next time I could get a photographer gift... if their giving out ties like these! ha.

Monday

{serafini wedding} - details

I had the awesome opportunity to shoot Ted & Ellen Serafini's wedding with Bluebird Photography this past Saturday!  It was absolutely gorgeous.  The wedding and reception was held at the Pratt Place barn here in Fayetteville.  It was really nice to shoot with Lindsey and experience what it is like to work with different photographers.  I was thinking about how I would post all of these images throughout the week and I think I will make a post everyday this week!  I will focus on a different aspect of the day.

Starting with the details:
